The third Grand Chequers Ball was held in a marquee provided by Monnow Marquees at Yew Tree Farm in Eaton Bishop, home of Charles and Becky Wall. More than 350 guests enjoyed canaps and champagne while listening to the Queen Elizabeth High School Steel Pan Band, followed by dinner, an auction and dancing to live music and a disco until the early hours. The night raised approximately 10,000 for the Air Ambulance and Charles and Becky Wall and Alan and Vicky Powell (the Chequers committee) thanked all the sponsors and helpers that made the night so successful.
