Sir Ben Gill, President of the NFU from 1998 to 2004 and President of the Confederation of European Agriculture from 2000 - 2004, addressed an audience at Castle House Hotel, Hereford, on the future of farming both worldwide, nationally and locally, which provided much food for thought. This was followed by a lively question and answer session.

Another evening with Sir Ben is planned for November to follow up on the subjects raised and to see if the predictions he made came to fruition.
