To celebrate 650 years of the magistracy, High Sheriff for Herefordshire Simon Arbuthnott and Helen Barker, chairman of the Herefordshire and Powys Branch of the Magistrates Association held a shrieval service at Hereford Cathedral


To celebrate 650 years of the magistracy, High Sheriff for Herefordshire Simon Arbuthnott and Helen Barker, chairman of the Herefordshire and Powys Branch of the Magistrates Association held a shrieval service at Hereford Cathedral.


Around 300 guests largely drawn from the Herefordshire magistracy past and present attended, including guest of honour Sir Anthony May, president of the Queens Bench Division in London. Afterwards, guests enjoyed tea in the Shirehall, where Helen Barker cut the 650th birthday cake.
