Local television celebrity and antiques expert Kate Bliss hosted a charity auction and raffle in aid of the Herefordshire Alzheimer's Society that was filmed for BBC's Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is.

This new series sees Kate, a regular face on BBC Bargain Hunt and Flog It!, competing head to head against another antiques expert, to make the most profit for their chosen charities from buying and selling antiques. The final show was filmed at

Caf@AllSaints.

Star lots included an ornate Victorian silver plated table lamp that sold for 210, an emerald and diamond ring at 320, a Georgian tea caddy at 180 and an unusual Regency style circular tree bench at 340. Champagne and Herefordshire wine donated by local vineyards was free flowing and served with delicious canaps.

"I am thrilled that the evening raised over 2,000," said Kate "and with my profits

from the other programmes in the series, I can give Alzheimer's Society, Herefordshire over 3,000."
