Hereford Gilbert and Sullivan Operatic Society performed an opera in a working Crown Court. The society took over Court Room Number One in Hereford's Crown Court to perform Gilbert and Sullivan's one act operetta, Trial by Jury.

The society took over Court Room Number One in Herefords Crown Court to perform Gilbert and Sullivans one act operetta, Trial by Jury. Guests included the society patron, Lady Penelope Thompson and Sir Christopher Thompson, The Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire, The Countess of Darnley and the Earl of Darnley and the High Sheriff of Herefordshire and Worcestershire, Elizabeth Hunter and Commander Ray Hunter.
