Living history was enacted with the triple installation of an Honorary Recorder, Chief Steward and Deputy Chief Steward of the City of Hereford.

The new Honorary Recorder is His Honour Judge Toby Hooper QC, who was appointed a Circuit Judge in 2007 and sits regularly at Hereford Crown Court.

The new Chief Steward of the City of Hereford is The Lord Temple-Morris of Llandaff and of Leominster, who was MP for Leominster until 2001 when he was raised to the peerage. The Lord Carlile of Berriew QC, new Deputy Chief Steward, has served as Honorary Recorder of the City since 1994.

The triple ceremony was the first time that all three officers have been installed at the same time.
