Members of the English Royal Family, French, Belgian and Italian nobility, European guests, former Prime Minister's wife Lady Major, and local dignitaries turned out in force for a charity opera evening at Glan Arrow in Eardisland

Jos Carreras plays Eardisland

Members of the English Royal Family, French, Belgian and Italian nobility, European guests, former Prime Ministers wife Lady Major, and local dignitaries turned out in force for a charity opera evening at Glan Arrow in Eardisland and were entertained by world-famous tenor Jos Carreras who made a special guest appearance with Diva Opera performing The Party Scene from Die Fledermaus. The event, by kind permission of Charlotte and Christopher James, was in aid of army charities Combat Stress, Headley Court and the Clocktower Fund and raised in the region of 125,000. The sponsors were John and Geraldine Whittaker major supporters of music and the arts in the United Kingdom, USA and Europe.
