There was a lot of fun and some serious fundraising at an evening of medieval merriment at Parsons Hall Farm, Kyre, Tenbury Wells. More than 90 guests enjoyed a pig roast, a performance of Beowulf by Peter Carrington-Porter and other themed entertainment. The event was organised by Nicki and John Beavan and raised more than 3,000 to support the work of Megan Baker House, near Leominster, which their son Woody, who suffers from cerebral palsy, has attended since
the age of two.

Comedian, author and presenter Jo Brand performed two back-to-back shows at The Courtyard Centre for the Arts in Hereford, with proceeds shared between Megan Baker House and the arts centre, of which she is an honorary patron. Jo also hosted a post show reception at the event, which raised 7,800 for Megan Baker House.
