Greyhound Rescue West of Englands annual dog show was held in the grounds of How Caple Court.

A silent auction, tombola and sales of merchandise boosted takings from the show ring for classes such as prettiest bitch and black beauties to a total of 3,079.

GRWE is now the UKs largest independent greyhound charity and rehomed more than 760 dogs last year alone.

It is staffed entirely by volunteers and funded solely by donations. As well as raising funds, the shows other objective was to give visitors a chance to see for themselves what gentle and biddable creatures greyhounds are, in the hope that some will be rehomed.
