Hereford Cathedral School threw open its doors to parents and children from other schools for a performance of Haydns Nelson Mass and an orchestral concert under the Cathedral School director of music, David Evans. Soloists were soprano Lucy Bowen; counter-tenor Pat Dunachie, a member of the Cathedral Schools sixth form, and now freelancing with such groups as The Sixteen; Rauiri Bowen, a choral scholar at Kings College, Cambridge, and bass Greg Swinford. The concert was the culmination of work by approximately 300 young musicians from 13 schools around the county.
