The wedding of Louise Jarrett & Julian Wright

The new Mrs Wright tells the story of her black and white wedding day

The bride and groom
We live in Kington, Herefordshire. I work for Nuffield Health in Hereford and Julian is a road technician.

My parents are Leslie and Sue Jarrett. Julian's are Brian and Linda Wright.

Best men
Jason Cuckow and Michael Soztack.

The bridesmaids were Millie Johnson and Paige Layton. My matron of honour was my sister, Lisa Jarrett.

Where and how did you meet?
Through friends in a pub in Kington.

The wedding
The churches we wanted were all booked for the date we had picked for our wedding so we chose the town hall in Hereford. We held the reception at the Royal George at Lyonshall as we eat there a lot and enjoy the delicious food made by Sue and Kevin, who own the pub. We also booked the village hall at Titley for an evening reception and we were joined there by loads more friends and family. There was a disco, ceilidh band, chocolate fountain, drinks bar, nibbles and pork baps cooked by Sue and Kevin from the Royal George.

The gown
My dress was a lovely black and white gown from Amore Bridal Wear in Hereford.

The suits
Julian, our two best men, and my father wore matching black and white suits from High Town Hire of Hereford.

Bridesmaids dresses
The dresses from Amore Bridal, Hereford, were chosen to fit in with the black and white theme.

The flowers
The flowers were also chosen to match the theme, with the buttonholes and bouquets and were made at Hillman's of Hereford.

Special touches
At the reception we released white doves which had been given to us by my sister Lisa, her partner, Alan, my two nieces and my nephew.

The day
The day was so sunny it made a special day even more special. The limousine, driven by John Marshall, was a big surprise and that was nice
because my parents and I organised most of the big day six months in advance. The food at both venues was scrumptious and everyone enjoyed it.The black and white polka dot cake with feathers on top was made by Charlotte Bateman.

The honeymoon
We went to Sidari in Corfu for a week.

Precious memories
We both would like to thank family and friends for all their hard work leading up to the day and on the day of the wedding. Seeing new and old friends and family there was thrilling and the whole day will be a precious memory for us both.
